SUPERWOMAN

This morning, otw to work, kak teh & me noticed the lady driver infront of our car was doing her morning chores in her car. At first we noticed the compact powder, mascara, then the blusher, lipstick, siap lipgloss lagi. Then touch-up here and there. Damn woman, how did you do that?

And the car was moving pulak tu, at elevated hiway, the reverse directional lane going to Dang Wangi LRT station. I tgk kakteh, Kakteh tgk I, and we smiled. I mean, yes, I don't do those things for my daily routine. But if I do pun, not while driving! Tabik spring la kat itu ah moi. Memang la superwoman! Tapi most women nowadays pun super-super jugak. Can do anything by themselves! (Guys : This is just a personal statement from Aida ya, no intention nak carik gaduh or being sentiment!) To all of my girlfriends, each of everyone of us had gone through a tough test, and believe me, more to come. Just handle them one at a time, or you will go koo-koo!

Today work sucks. Since yesterday. Pagi tadi meeting sungguh stressfull!Hmmm...

Okay la, need to get back to work.

Take care everyone!

SPEAKEASY

Restaurant ni opposite Standard Chartered Leboh Ampang.

Very cosy, just 5 min walk from my office. Went here with my cousins -kaklong & Amy- for lunch last Wednesday. Kaklong belanja, mkn free mmg la sedap, hehehe. Hari ni pun pergi lagi for lucnh with my client, dibelanja lagi (mkn free mmg selalu rasa sedap!)

Choice of food, macam-macam ada -both western & local. Try the Jakarta fried rice, chicken chop, & carbonara. Drinks : go for kopi ais. Best!

Price range : RM12.90 per plate. But puas hati sebab banyak. Satu plate Seafood Fried Rice can share 2 orang.

KakLong sambil belanja makan sempat lagi tu bebel kat kitorang about getting married. This cousin of mine - being the eldest cucu, mentang2 lah lawyer, dah start leter, I pun kalah! Ceh. Nanti la along.... prince charming tak jumpa lagik macam mana mau kawin? But it was a fun outing, full of gossiping! And we finally managed to finalise planning nak buat gathering kat rumah kaklong as bangteh is coming back besok.

Last night I went to Shah Alam. Pi rumah busu kejap. Janji with Faiq to buy him something for his birthday & for getting top 10 in his class. We went to Shah Alam Mall. Gave him RM50.00, last2 dia beli game. I can't say no as I've promised he can buy anything with the money. But the best part was standing behind him, watching him tawar menawar with the salesgirl. He got what he wanted at the price he bargained for. Huh, even I don't think I can do that. Budak umur 11 tahun pandai tawar sampai salesgirl tu tak leh cakap apa. Hmmm...

Okay la. Tonight going to KL Tower with my friends. Hopefully tak hujan lebat.

Take care everyone!

mood hari ni - cloud 9 sbb mkn free ngan mamat hensem ;)

HARRY PORTER & GELAS API

I'm not going to give a review on the movie.

I loves going to movies. Take kisah la cerita apa, semua okay ja. Not like my brother, very willing to be in a long que, but if the seats are not good for him, he just walk away. No way he will take 5 rows from the screen. But you can count on adik to get best seats. Dia memang pandai bab tu.

Lately I've been to movies a lot, semua tgk. But I really can't stand some people who's not aware of etiquette while watching movie. Last night I was really annoyed with the girl behind me who have been on the phone with her mom like more than 10times. And the best part was her mom knew that she was in a cinema (I overheard she told her mom she's where & with who). But her mom keep on calling her. Hilang concerntrate nak tgk movie.

Two weeks back while I was watching Salon with Aween & Mawaddah, kat GSC One Utama, there was this guy who can't stop kicking our chairs from behind. I thought he was a tall guy with long legs, habis movie tengok, pendek ja!! Ish, geram betul. First time in my life I actually made a scene and kasi sound sama itu mamat. Geram betul.

Last Friday went to KLCC with my close friends tgk Harry Porter. We had dinner at Chilis before that. Start 1145pm, habis 230am. Thanks to Iza sbb sanggup ponteng keja beratur kat KLCC beli ticket on 2nd day.Hehehe.

Can't wait for Jan 2006. Then no need to go cinemas to watch movie with orang-orang tak tau etika tu. Ada private cinema with plasma screen & kerusi best kat SUNWAY KINRARA opening soon!

To those yang belum tgk Harry Porter, don't miss it. I had to watch it twice to understand the movie - but then again I don't mind going 3rd time.

Take care everyone!

Friendship

I've received this in email quite sometime ago. In fact has received this story from many of my friends thru email. But today I got it handwritten in Thank You card by a dear friend addressed to my office. And I feel like sharing it with everyone here.

Please read :

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. " They really should get lives. "

He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.

I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends? He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him. Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!"

He just laughed and handed me half the books. Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak.

Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous!. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. " Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends... I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story." I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

"Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable." I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize it's depth. Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse. God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way.

Juju : Take care & thank you very much to you too.

STiLL RAYA MOOD

Ish-ish, selagi tak habis syawal 2nd december nanti, punyala byk open house kena attend. Tapi this year I pegi yg wajib-wajib saja. Tu pun dah kira banyak tu.

Last week cuti 3 hari, jadi 2 hari ja. Ni semua bombing kat Jordan punyer pasal. Habis plan hari khamis nak buat macam2. But I had a great long weekend. On Friday, ingat nak buat mykad, tapi pegi lambat, no giliran dah habis. Kena buat nanti2 lah.

Mlm Friday to my good friends datang makan2. Buat chicken chop. Tak sangka jadi pulak. Kalau drebarlori @ my fav chef pun cakap sedap, then okay la kut. (P5 : jgn kutuk lagi, belom rasa belom tau ok?) Lepas mkn ada sesi main congkak. They left after midnight, leaving me with all the pinggan to basuh. Kakteh was doing he last minute packing. Now kakteh kat Mauritius, Monday ni baru nak balik. Lama tu pergi. Kalau dia ingat la kat kakak dia sorang ni (& if u're reading this blog kat sana), bawaklah balik apa yg patut - although i tau u still bengang about the kek issue! Hehehe. She's suppose to comeback this Saturday, but saja2 postpone ticket sampai Monday to do a bit more sightseeing & shopping. Well, I hope she enjoys here stay there. Dah lama dia tak pi holiday!

Saturday morning after sending her off, I went to Aquaria KLCC with P5. (ada ke patut kena category big kid! ceh!) Mahalnya entrance fee.

Adult RM38.00
Children RM28.00
Adult discount with Mykad RM28.00
Children discount with Mykad - tak ingat la

But now ada promo RM90.00 for 2 adults + 2 children. Kalau anyone nak pergi with promo rate, then okay la. But to pay RM38.00, so not worth it. I agree with P5, sungguh tak child-friendly. Jgn cakap the kids, I yg pendek ni pun kena jengket sket. But I had a great time there.

After Aquaria, pi my fav salon. Thought of cutting my hair very short, but the rebonding promo at RM99.00 was very tempting. I know the hairdresser dah lama soh I buat, sbb dia geram tgk my hair so thick - whatever style I cut or layerkan. So, I took the chance, and now very satisfied with the outcome. It should last 8 months, but we'll see, as I know I have very difficult hair to take care. Anyone nak try, the salon is at Setiawangsa, buzz me & I will give the direction. After rebonding, of course jalan raya lagi. Sempat pegi 3 rumah ja, last destination rumah busu kat shah alam.

Sunday, since morning sampai malam jalan raya lagi. Went KLIA in the morning, fetch my mamat gadget (uish, officially masuk nama dlm blog tu, hehehehe). Sempat jumpa Intan Nazrahayu. I haven't met her since 1992, after 13 years she is still the same - minah suka merempat. Spent about an hour with her, then baru kuar KLIA. Went to P5 house : dia hidang kuih raya ja.... Ingat ada lah ayam mortemobit (tak ingat spelling, btw p5, ni kasi hint ni, hehehehe). Last raya stop kat Bukit Antarabangsa, rumah Iza & Ray. Makan laksa johor, sedap!!!!

Monday after office sempat lagi jalan raya, went to Kg Baru & Selayang. This weekend another round. Babah dah sound, rambut rebonded, face make-over, bila nak body cun? Aiyak!!!! Hmm, so kena la do something about it.

Tonight ada 2 meeting kena attend. Anseri & My Cousin's Wedding Duty Roaster. I will go for the first dulu, and the later, kalau sempat baru pi as I know what is my duty. Perhaps I will go very-very late, to avoid all the aunties & uncles, biar diorang balik dulu. Kalau tak berasap telinga ni dengar soalan cepu emas.

Take care everyone!

MUNGKIN

Semalam sampai rumah very the late. Pi jalan raya punyer pasal. Perut pun penuh. Hajat di hati nak mimpi best-best ngan orang lain, alih-alih kuar muka Anuar Zain la pulak..... :)

Mimpi Anuar Zain punya pasal, terus bangun awal sebelum alarm clock bunyi. Kakteh takdak sampai 3 alarm clock I kena set kan. Pagi ni terus angau, punyer la liat nak pi ofc. Bangun awal, tapi 830am gak baru mau mandi. Selamba masuk ofc lewat! Below ada lirik lagu one of my favourites by Anuar Zain.

Biarkanlah saja diriku sendirian tanpamu
Biarkanlah aku merindu sekian lama
Bukan maksud untuk membisu sepi tanpa kata
Terpisahnya kita kerana mengejar impian

Mungkinkah bersama dua jiwa ini
Dalam mencari cinta sejati nan suci
Mungkinkah segala derita di jiwa
Akan terubat kini

Biarkanlah saja diriku sepi tanpa kata
Terpisahnya kita kerana mengejar impian

Hanya satu pintaku
Sabarlah menanti
Ku kan pulang bersama
Cinta...

AFTER RAYA MOOD

Hmm... ramai lagi yang kat kampung tu, yg cuti lama2 tu, tak reti2 lagi nak balik KL ka oooiiii??? Dengki sebenarnya. I'm back at work, but looking forward for this Thursday, cuti sampai sunday, yeah yeah!

Raya was okay, habis duit bagi kat budak2. Opah la paling kaya, semua anak, menantu & cucu bagi duit raya. My nenek - hmm... tu memang selalu kaya dapat duit, hehehehe. But again, raya was great. Although few cousins tak balik, but yg tinggal ni pun dah kecoh. Soalan cepu emas bertalu-talu, "Kak Ngah, bila nak kahwin ni?" Tapi kita maintain cool. Opah again upset as usual, but i can't help it. Nanti la, dah habis musim open house, I will definately look into that matter!

Semalam pergi raya sakan, ada la 4 rumah pergi. Kenyang makan. Had fun layan anak Mawaddah - intan : aku dah pass la ngan budak 2 org tu, no more practice needed!!! Pagi ni traffic to KL pun okay, besok kut baru start busy as usual. As for myself, kerja, back to normal. Kakteh is back in Sg Petani. Ikut ma & ba balik yesterday morning. Next week dia tak dak lagi. Away for another week. Kalau cuti, boleh la ikut!!! Kenapa la dia tak gi this weekend la... cet.

Okay la, this week is going to be a great week I know. Many plans ahead. Besok malam got hot date with abang beskal. This Friday got dinner date with gang. Sabtu got open house date ( i think ada 5 dah invitation!!!).

Okie dokie, opppsss lupa lah. Dulu ada posting pasal GUS CAFE kat Canberra. Aiyak, itu tempat sudah tutup lah. Frustnyer bila my cousin balik n bagitau. Looking forward to go to that place next year. There goes my yummy ice chocolate.

Take care everyone!

A DAY BEFORE RAYA

Huh, besok dah raya dah!!! yeyeyeye. Finally!! :)

Last night went to opah's house. Pasang langsir, tukar sarung kusyen, cadar pun nak kena tukar. Bila ramai aunty-aunty dah berkumpul, riuh habis dapur opah jadinyer... Now I know where I got my very loud voice. Babah selalu cakap, mama is opah in the making, myself is mama in the making - hmmm... memang betul sangat la tu, though I'm trying my best to lessen my "leter". But I would really love if i can inherit my mom's cooking skill, efficiency in doing work, and religious thingy - mama has become an ustazah sejak2 dia pencen and duduk rumah!

I got my ketupat, rendang, kek, more kuih raya! So, kira dah complete lah raya tahun ni. Tapi langsir tak jadi pau mama, dia bawak, but for opah, whuaaaa.... Takpe, I have 4 days ma & bah in KL, who knows they might change their mind if I bring them to one of the langsir shop like Macy during this festive seasons. Mlm ni mama dah plan nak pi kajang sat, nak visit my aunty Jah. Will buka first at Opah's, then to Kajang, balik sure enroute rumah nenek, babah sure ada session borak sampai pagi with all the uncles.

Next year I must make sure that I apply cuti a day before raya, am not going to stuck in office again like this year. Tapi dah check calendar, raya falls on Tuesday, aiyak, Monday tu susah la nak cuti. Hmmm.... Kerja jugak lah tu... Takpe la, raya kat Gombak, no hurry.

Last night, on the way back home to Bukit Antarabangsa from opah's house, kat MRR2, diorang dah siap prepare lemang stall, berderet-deret. Lemang Pak Long, Pak Ngah, Pak Din, Pak Abu, Mak Siti, Mak Bedah etc semua dah ada. Must avoid that road tonight, kalau tak, hmm, stuck dalam jam lah jawabnyer. KL dah clear traffic, Jalan Sultan Ismail very lengang last night and this morning. 15min only to office today.

Okie-dokie. Back to work, at 5pm baru cabut today, unless my boss halau me suruh balik awal as usual.

Take care everyone!
